Production of castings is concentrated in cast iron
foundries and steel foundries. Operations are made up
of a centre for the production of non-ferrous metals
and a centre for machining castings. The company
has its own wood modelling shop and metal modelling
shop. Castings are delivered according to the
requirements - raw, rough or machined – carried out in
our own machining centre or in cooperation with other
companies. At the customer’s request, we perform
non-destructive tests - eg. X-ray, ultrasound, magnetic
There is a long tradition of foundries in Třinec. The
first foundry was built in 1842, three years after the
founding of Třinecké železárny. Foundries have
always had an important role in the production
process. For the first thirty years, all iron was
produced in blast furnaces by ironworks and foundries
took care of the processing. At that time, commercial
castings were primarily produced. The main
production of iron was gradually shifted to rolling mills
and foundries began to play a role of service
